The event was organized by The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Legislation Institute in cooperation with Ukrainian Representation of the United Nations Children´s Fund (UNICEF).
The Project aims at comprehensive expert examination and analysis of current practices in Ukraine, and their compliance with international standards and regulations concerning protection of children´s rights in juvenile justice. Methods of examination will be based upon effective regulations of criminal, criminal and procedural, judicial and administrative legislation of Ukraine regarding minors.
Pursuant to the Bill, the programme will be implemented in two stages, namely, Years 2008-2010 the first stage, and Years 2011-2018 the second stage.
